How does Compass earn commissions?
Some links on Compass lead to products at online stores. If you follow one and buy something that qualifies, Compass earns a commission from the sale. You pay nothing extra for this.
As an Amazon Associate, Compass earns from qualifying purchases.
Which networks are involved?
Amazon is the only affiliate network we use. Should we add another, we will say so on this page.
Does this affect the guides?
It shouldn’t, and we work to make sure it doesn’t. Commissions have no say in what we recommend or how we describe a product. A product with no affiliate link is treated the same as one with a link. Our Editorial Policy sets out how guides are researched and reviewed, and How We Make Money explains the bigger picture.
Can I trust the prices I see?
Take them as a snapshot. The store controls prices and availability, and both can change after we publish. Before you buy, look at the price on the store’s own page.
Do I have to buy through your links?
No. You can buy the same product from any store you prefer, or decide not to buy at all. Our guides are free to read either way.
What about cookies from affiliate links?
After you click one of our affiliate links, the store or network may set a cookie of its own so it knows the visit came from us. Those cookies come from them and follow their policies. Details about what we do ourselves are in the Privacy Policy.
Where can I send questions?
